DVD under BEOS

VideoLAN , now reads DVDs under BeOS  , even encrypted ones. It also works under Linux .  And someone
wrote a script  to download and build daily CVS snapshots of the player for BeOS.

Details about this version:
New features:
Support for encrypted DVDs. Use the following command line to play any DVD (of course do not forget to change the device to your DVD drive):
vlc dvd:/dev/disk/ide/atapi/1/master/0/raw
Launchable from the Tracker
Use Drag and Drop to play files (it only works for the first file but this will be fixed very soon)
Dynamic detection of MMX cpu
For non BeOS specific features, please refer to the videolan site (http://www.videolan.org)
Known issues:
Audio and video are not perfectly in sync
Decryption is not supported for some DVD drives
The vlc is very slow on some computers, especially when the video card is a Voodoo

About Daily VLC:
Daily VLC is simply a Bash script for downloading VideoLan
Almost every day since the release of VideoLan v2.62, there have been improvements made to the program. It would be difficult to build, package, and post a new binary distribution every time a change is made.

Daily VLC will allow you to download and compile the most absolute, up to the minute version of VideoLan With a simple Double Click.

With this script you can easily see and test new features of VideoLan well before the next binary is released.
