A video-header patcher.
Useful to generate (mini)DVDs with non-standard video resolutions (like
480x480, 480x576).
AVestensione lets you patch the headers to be "conforming" before starting the DVD-authoring, and re-patch them before burning the DVD. In addition AVestensione lets you patch the aspect ratio of an MPEG2 file, which may have been changed for instance by mpeg2vcr V 3.11.

. Based on Grab for Linux this is a Windows-port with some modifications and
a GUI. Streamed A/V is multiplexed on the fly and the stored files can be
played back with every software-DVD-player.
There's a problem
with AC3 and activated AC3-mode in DVB2000 because in that mode no
audio-timestamps are sent via scsi. You have to switch off AC3 in
DVB2000-Audio-menu. Then you have to save the channel on e new place and
switch off auto-pid and auto-pmt for that channel and you have to set the
AC3-PID at point 3 (Audio) at the PID-menu.
Only then the
recorder will synchonize and multiplex the streams together. You won't
have sound on your DD-Amplifier now but it's the only way to grab
synchonized AC3.
Windows XP has some
strange Bugs:
If you grab in realtime-mode
XP will hang if you use the XP-styled buttons.
A resolution is one
of the following:
- wait for
XP-service-packs
- switch back to
Windows -classic style
- don't use realtime
